The Saint Joseph's men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday as the Hawks head to rival La Salle for the first of two meetings with the Explorers this season. The 5 p.m. matchup will be televised on NBC Sports Network, with free audio broadcast available on TuneIn.

• Saint Joseph's and La Salle meet for the first time this year on Saturday, with the two squads facing off again in a regular-season finale contest at Hagan Arena on March 7.
• The Hawks and Explorers split last year's meetings with each team winning on its home court.

SAINT JOSEPH'S SUCCESS AGAINST THE EXPLORERS
Saint Joseph's enters Saturday with 70 victories over the Explorers, the most by the Hawks over a single opponent in program history. To date, three of Saint Joseph's most victories have come against Big 5 rivals – La Salle (70), Temple (69) and Penn (52) – with wins over Rhode Island ranking third (56).
SERIES DISCREPANCY
While Saturday marks another meeting in the long-lived rivalry between Saint Joseph's and La Salle, the two programs differ when it comes to the start of the matchup. The Hawks recognize the first meeting between the two teams as a 35-29 victory on February 11, 1909, while the Explorers view their 39-20 win on February 10, 1934 as the start of the series based upon their start at the Division I level in 1931-32.
HAWKS TAKE AIM FROM THREE
The Hawks continue to lead the Atlantic 10 in three-pointers per game at 9.5. Ranking 26th nationally as well, Saint Joseph's also leads the conference and is eighth overall in Division I in three-pointers attempted (677).
DALY EARNS WEEKLY RECOGNITION
Saint Joseph's Ryan Daly earned his fourth Big 5 Player of the Week, and second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors earlier this week. The redshirt junior averaged 28.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field over two contests last week, including a career-high 35 points against Saint Louis. Daly, who was additionally named Player of the Week on The Bracketology Show, previously earned Big 5 weekly honors November 18, December 23 and January 20, and was named conference Player of the Week on December 23.

Saint Joseph's returns home to face St. Bonaventure on Tuesday. The contest, set for a 7 p.m. tip, is the first of two meetings this season between the Hawks and Bonnies, with the other coming on March 4 in Olean, New York.
