MEDIA, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team took on Quinnipiac at the Springton Indoor Tennis Club on Saturday, falling to the Bobcats by a 7-0 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Quinnipiac (3-3) claimed the doubles point with wins in the second and third flights before
Amanda Nava and
Paige Conrad combined for a 7-5 win in the first flight.

• In singles play, the visitors claimed victories in the second, third, fifth, and sixth flights to grab the overall match win. Nava and
Ireland Amato drove their matches to tiebreakers in the first and fourth flights, respectively, before ultimately falling.

"A win at number one doubles and two ten-pointers for third sets showed that the squad is slowly rounding into form," head coach
Ian Crookenden said. "Nerves and freshman jitters are still apparent but each match teaches us how to cope, so I am seeing some positive steps forward."
