Box Score PHILADELPHIA – After losing the opening two sets to Jefferson, 19-25 and 14-25, the USciences volleyball team made a late push in the third to try and force a fourth on Tuesday night at Bobby Morgan Arena.
Trailing 14-16, a Tori Wright kill sparked a 5-2 run, which featured kills by Bianca Galis and Kerrigan Clem, to take a 19-18 lead.
The Rams (17-3) tallied three unanswered before back-to-back errors evened the score back up at 21, and the two teams would then trade points as Natalia Velez's kill tied the score for a ninth time in the set at 22.
Jefferson would go on to take the final three points though, ultimately sealing the sweep.
Velez and Wright were two of the three with double-digit kills, finishing with 11 and 10, respectively.
