Wright Wins Final CACC Player of the Week Award

After helping lift USciences volleyball to a pair of five-set triumphs in the Devils' final week as a program, Tori Wright has been named the last Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week of the 2021 season.

It is the junior's second career weekly award from the league, as she was named CACC Rookie of the Week on Oct. 14, 2019.

Wright led both matches in kills, the latter of which was at CACC North champion Bloomfield on Saturday. She averaged 3.70 kills and 1.40 digs per set, while also contributing six service aces and four blocks.

The King of Prussia, Pa. native first had 20 kills and a match-high three blocks, while falling one dig shy of a double-double, as USciences came back twice to defeat Chestnut Hill in its last-ever match at Bobby Morgan Arena on Wednesday.

Wright then tied for a match-high with 17 kills to become the 11th student-athlete in program history to surpass 600 career kills in the Devils' final match as a program Saturday. She ended the afternoon 10th all-time with 616 and also had a match-high three aces.

That victory, University of the Sciences' fifth in six matches, meant the Devils ended their final campaign with their best CACC record since 2012.
