THE TIP-OFF
• Saint Joseph's opens the road portion of its 2021-22 schedule over the Thanksgiving holiday as the Hawks take part in the Paycom Wooden Legacy for the second time in program history.
• The Hawks face #24 USC on Thanksgiving evening in the opening game of the two-day tournament.
• Saint Joseph's will face either Georgetown or San Diego State on Friday.
• The Hawks previously placed seventh overall at the 2017 Wooden Legacy as they went 1-2 in three highly-competitive contests.
• Thursday marks the 187th time Saint Joseph's has faced a nationally ranked opponent when it takes on #24 USC.
• The Hawks are 45-141 all-time versus ranked teams, with their last win coming on February 27, 2018 versus #17 Rhode Island, 78-48.
• St. Joe's is looking to bounce back after being tripped up by Monmouth, 87-75, on Saturday.
• Sophomore Jordan Hall scored a career-high 24 points and added a team-high 10 rebounds and five assists versus Monmouth.
• Saturday marked the second time this season four Hawks scored in double figures as Hall was joined by Taylor Funk (16 points), Erik Reynolds II (13 points) and Dahmir Bishop (12 points).
• Hall enters Thursday averaging 22 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game over the past two contests.
• Funk currently ranks second in the Atlantic 10 with a career-best 18.5 points per game.
• Reynolds II was named A-10 Rookie of the Week on Monday after averaging 13 points per game, while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 92.3 from the foul line over two games last week.
• Funk averaged 11,3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game at the 2017 Wooden Legacy.
