FUNK NAMED TO A-10 PRESEASON ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM
Saint Joseph's Taylor Funk was named to the 2021-22 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Second Team this past October. Establishing himself as one of the top shooters in the A-10, Funk is coming off a breakout season in which he led Hawks with 52 three-pointers and ranked third in the A-10 in three-pointers per game (2.6). Returning to Saint Joseph's starting lineup in 2020-21 after missing a majority of the previous season due to a hand injury, Funk averaged a career-best 17.4 points, and 5.7 rebounds per game, while connecting on a team-high 83.8 percent from the foul line. Named the 2020-21 Big 5 Most Improved Player, Funk also etched his name in the St. Joe's record book last year as he became just the 58th student-athlete in program history to reach the 1,000 career-point mark.
HALL EARNS A-10 PRESEASON ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM HONORS
Coming off a stellar rookie campaign, St. Joe's Jordan Hall was selected to the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Second Team. Named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team and selected Big 5 Rookie of the Year a season ago, Hall proved to be one of the top playmakers in the country as he led all freshmen nationally in assists per game (5.7), and tied for 69th overall in total assists (113). Competing in all 20 contests, Hall developed into a threat at both ends of the court as he paced Saint Joseph's in steals (25), ranked second on the team in rebounding (5.6 rpg), and third in scoring (10.6 ppg). Just the sixth Hawk to record a triple-double, Hall also participated in the USA Men's Basketball U19 Team Training Camp this past summer.
