THE TIP-OFF
• Saint Joseph's opens Atlantic 10 play this Thursday as the Hawks travel to Richmond.
• Thursday's contest will be streamed on ESPN+, NBC Sports Philadelphia+ and NBC Sports Washington+.
• The Hawks enter Thursday with a 18-21 all-time mark in A-10 openers.
• Thursday marks the second time in three seasons St. Joe's and Richmond will face off in a conference-opening matchup, with the Spiders topping the Hawks, 84-52, in the 2019-20 opener.
• The Hawks are looking to snap their four-game skid in A-10 openers, with Saint Joseph's last conference-opening win coming against George Washington, 68-63, on December 30, 2016.
• Saint Joseph's is coming off a 77-73 loss at Bradley on December 18 in which the Hawks nearly erased a 12-point second half deficit in the final moments.
• Taylor Funk finished with a game-high 20 points and a team-high nine rebounds against the Braves.
• Funk has averaged 10.3 rebounds per game over the last three contests, after averaging 5.9 rpg over the first eight games.
• Jordan Hall handed out a career-best 12 assists and added 10 points and seven rebounds versus Bradley.
• Thursday's contest features two of the best distributors in the A-10 in St. Joe's Hall (6.4 apg) and Richmond's Jacob Gilyard (6.5 apg).
• Hall's 12 helpers tied him for the fourth-most assists in a game, alongside Jameer Nelson (twice), Halil Kanacevic (twice), Tasheed Carr, Rap Curry, Luke Griffin, Maurice Martin and Bob McNeill.
• Erik Reynolds II matched his season-high of 13 points against Bradley, going 5-8 from the field, including 2-3 from three-point range.
• The Hawks wrapped up their non-conference schedule with their best non-conference winning percentage (.545) since the 2016-17 season (.583).
