ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend at the Naval Academy on Sunday as the Hawks took part in the final day of play at the Joe Hunt Invitational.
Nathan Perrone claimed the Blue Singles flight title with a perfect record on the weekend. On the doubles side,
Nassim Fenjiro and
Alex MacNeil teamed up for a win over a pair from Christopher Newport, while
Nickolas Frisk and
Alp Sentay were winners over a duo from the hosts at Navy.
"It was a great three days of competition for us; I was very pleased with how the guys handled themselves on the court," assistant coach
Marc Pibernat said. "Yet again, another incredible performance by Nate, who went undefeated in singles and won the top flight of the tournament. Also it was great to see firsthand Alp and Nassim compete since I was not able to attend the Villanova Invitational.
"The team will be off tomorrow and we will get back on court on Tuesday to get ready for our SJU Invitational that we will host on Hawk Hill this coming weekend."
The Hawks will return home to host the 12
th Saint Joseph's Invitational beginning on Friday at the SJU Tennis Complex.
