THE TIP-OFF
• Saint Joseph's opens the home portion of its Atlantic 10 schedule this Wednesday as the Hawks host Davidson.
• The Hawks opened conference play with a dominant 83-56 victory at Richmond on December 30.
• Thursday's 27-point victory was St. Joe's largest margin of victory in an A-10 opener since besting Duquesne by 48, 89-41, on January 3, 2007 at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.
• The Hawks earned their first A-10 opening win since a 68-63 decision over George Washington on December 30, 2016.
• Reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week Erik Reynolds II finished with a season-high 17 points at Richmond, going 7-of-12 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from three-point range, and added four rebounds.
• Cameron Brown posted his first career double-double versus the Spiders as he collected a career-high 11 rebounds to go with 16 points and two assists.
• Taylor Funk led five Hawks in double figures with a team-high 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
• Ejike Obinna finished in double figures for the eighth consecutive game, adding 13 points to go with a game-high 14 rebounds for his third double-double of the year.
• Jordan Hall handed out a game-high eight assists, scored 13 points and added eight rebounds.
• The Hawks shot 51.7 percent from the field (31-of-60) at Richmond to match their season high for field goal percentage and grabbed a season-best 51 rebounds.
• On the defensive side, St. Joe's held Richmond to 27.8 percent shooting (20-of-72), including 18.2 percent from three-point range (6-of-33).

SAINT JOSEPH'S VERSUS DAVIDSON
• Wednesday marks the 23rd meeting between Saint Joseph's and Davidson with the Wildcats holding a 12-10 edge in the series, including an 80-66 win in last year's lone matchup.
• Jack Forrest and Taylor Funk led four Hawks in double figures as each scored 19 points against the Wildcats a season ago.
• Saint Joseph's is 4-1 at home versus Davidson, with a 3-1 mark at Hagan Arena.
• In the previous contest on Hawk Hill, a last-second three-pointer by Cameron Brown lifted St. Joe's to a 73-72 victory on February 18, 2020.
• In three career contests versus Davidson, Brown has averaged 16.3 points per game.

UPDATED POLICIES FOR FAN ATTENDANCE AT HAGAN ARENA
Saint Joseph's Athletics has announced updated spectator guidelines for men's and women's basketball home games at Hagan Arena, effective January 3. The updated guidelines are based on new requirements issued by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH). Beginning January 3, all fans five (5) years old and older will be required to show proof of vaccination to enter Hagan Arena for men's and women's basketball games. Per PDPH guidelines, through January 17, unvaccinated fans can provide a negative COVID-19 result from a PCR or rapid test with the sample taken within 24 hours of entry to the location in lieu of providing vaccination status. Fans with an exemption are also required to provide documentation of a negative COVID-19 result. Home testing kits for individuals cannot be verified, and will not be accepted for entrance into Hagan Arena.

REYNOLDS II EARNS SECOND ATLANTIC 10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR
For the second time this season, Saint Joseph's freshman guard Erik Reynolds II has been named Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday. In the Hawks' lone game on the week, Reynolds II had a career night at Richmond, scoring a season-high 17 points on 7-12 (.583) shooting, including 3-6 (.500) from three-point distance, to go with four rebounds and an assist in an 83-56 Saint Joseph's win. Reynolds II, who is currently averaging 9.4 points, 1.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game, was previously named A-10 Rookie of the Week on November 22.
