                     FAIRFAX, Va. – The Saint Joseph's men's indoor track & field team scored 68 points to place fifth out of nine teams at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships at the George Mason Field House on Saturday and Sunday.
 
OF NOTE:
George Mason Field House is a flat track and conversions to banked track time apply for certain events.
 
SCORING PERFORMANCES: 
	- For the second day in a row, sophomore jumper Patrick Fehm scored the first points of the day for the Hawks. Fehm placed fifth overall in the triple jump with a best mark of 13.99m.
 
	- Hours after his first scoring performance of the day, Fehm took third overall in the high jump, recording a best jump of 2.08m (6'9.75"). He will leave this meet with a seven-centimeter PR and an IC4A qualification in this event. Across two days, Fehm scored in all three events he was entered in.
 
	- In the mile run, senior Ira Daly snagged eighth place in a time of 4:16.52 to add a point to the team score.
 
	- Senior Michael Welde opened his day with an impressive showing in the 400m. Welde placed third in a time of 48.82.
 
	- After a spectacular rookie season, Michael Brittingham came away with a second-place finish in the 500m. Brittingham clocked a time of 1:05.26. Senior Kyle Magee also had strong run, narrowly missing the podium to finish fourth overall in a time of 1:05.46. The duo combined for 13 points to add to the team score.
 
	- In the 800m, sophomore Jayden Greene ran smart hanging with the lead pack to come away with third overall in a time of 1:57.20.
 
	- Doubling back in the 200m, Welde earned his second scoring performance of the day with a fifth place finish in a time of 22.10.
 
	- Daly continued his strong day as he placed fourth in the 3,000m, clocking a time of 8:28. Although not a scoring performance, sophomore Noah Deckert won his heat of this event in 8:33.19, which will qualify him for next week's IC4A Championship. 
 
	- The 4x800m relay of sophomore Owen Moelter, graduate student Stephen McClellan, sophomore Gavin Campbell, and senior Mike Szwed placed fourth overall in a time of 7:47.52.
 
	- Closing out the scoring performances for the Crimson & Gray, the 4x400m relay of sophomore Ladi Bamgbose, Brittingham, sophomore Eric Ford, and Magee took third in a close race against URI at the line. The group recorded a time of 3:19.68.
 
UP NEXT: 
Qualifying Hawks will return to action next weekend at the IC4A Championship hosted at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center. The two-day meet will run from March 5 through March 6.
