PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse begins NEC play on Saturday with a trip to take on Mount St. Mary's. Opening faceoff is set for noon and will stream on NEC Front Row.
 
ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
  • The Hawks are receiving votes in all three major polls entering Saturday's contest with a 5-2 record overall.
  • St. Joe's has won four of its last five games, including its most recent against Towson. The Hawks claimed a 11-8 win at home.
  • Zach Cole earned NEC Player of the Week and was named to the USILA National Team after winning 75.5% of his faceoffs, going 40-of-53. He picked up 27 ground balls over both games last week, while scoring one goal and assisting on two others.
  • Patrick Clemens picked up his second-straight NEC Defensive Player of the Week with a team-high four caused turnovers and nine ground balls.
  • Cole is first in the nation in both face-off winning percentage (.737) and ground balls per game (12.29).
  • Matt Bohmer is first in the league and 20th in the country with 3.14 goals per game. He's tallied a team-best 32 points with 22 scores and 10 assists. He's one of six Hawks to record double-digit point totals this season.
  • Tucker Almany (4-2) started the first six games of the season before Robbie Seeley (1-0) started this past game.
ABOUT MOUNT ST. MARY'S:
  • The Mount sits at 3-5 this season, having lost three in a row.
  • Cormac Giblin (12G, 3A) and Jared McMahon (10G, 5A) are tied for a team leading 15 points. They are the only Mountaineers in double figures.
  • Mitchell Dunham has 13 caused turnovers in eight games this season.
  • Three different goalkeepers have played this season for the Mount. Griffin McGinley (2-5) started seven games, including the past two.
