PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse looks to continue their two-game winning streak at home, hosting Monmouth (1-2). Monmouth is coming off their first win of the season as they defeated Wagner, 9-7. Opening faceoff is set for 1:00 P.M. from Sweeney Field.

ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:

• Despite falling behind early, St. Joe's got a decisive win over Providence, defeating the Friars 15-8 last time out.
• Sophomore Carter Page and junior Matt Bohmer led the Hawks' scoring efforts as they combined for 7 of the 15 Hawks' goals. Senior Zach Cole added 18 ground balls and won 23 of his 27 faceoffs.
• Bohmer continues to firmly lead the team in both goals and assists. The junior has scored 14 times to go along with six assists.
• After his efforts on Saturday, Carter Page finds himself in second, scoring 10 goals on the season.
• Defenders Logan Blondell and Joe Burnham lead the team in caused turnovers with three apiece.
• Tucker Almany (3-1) has made 44 saves this season and boasts a .500 save percentage.
• With a win, the Hawks will have started 4-1 in two of the past three seasons.

ABOUT MONMOUTH:

• Monmouth has gotten off to a 1-2 start with a win against Wagner and two losses to Delaware and Princeton.
• Monmouth was 8-3 in 2021, their first winning season since 2017. 
• Junior Connor Macrae leads Monmouth with six goals.
• Junior midfielder Matt Soutar has scooped up 23 ground balls this season, which more than doubles any other player on the team's ground ball total. The Mount Laurel, N.J. native is 40-of-77 on face offs this season.
• Fifth-year goaltender Noah Lode has started in all three contests for Monmouth this season. He has made 45 saves and has a .495 save percentage.
• In his ninth year as head coach, Brian Fisher has a 48-55 record throughout his career in West Long Branch.

MATCHUP NOTES:

• St. Joe's and Monmouth have played each other a total of seven times. Since the first matchup in 2014, Monmouth is yet to find a victory. Most recently, the two teams played in 2020 as St. Joe's won, 10-3.
