TOWSON, Md. – After defeating Villanova at home, Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse goes back on the road to take on the Towson Tigers. First draw is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Tiger Field with the game streaming on FloSports.
ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
• Lisa Ross and Lauren Figura combined for seven goals to pace the Hawks in their 16-12 victory over Villanova on Wednesday.
• Sophomore goalie Jorden Concordia made nine saves in her third victory.
• Figura and juniors Ross and Sydney Foster have combined to score over half of the Hawks' goals this season. Figura (Mount Laurel, N.J.) leads the group with 14 goals.
• Midfielders Sophia Kolkka and Riley Delaney have compiled six caused turnovers apiece to lead the team this season.
• Graduate student Lauren Gray leads the team's defenders in caused turnovers with four.
• Concordia has made 58 saves and possesses a .464 save percentage.
• Figura and Riley Evans combined for six points in last season's edition of this matchup.
ABOUT TOWSON:
• Towson is off to an 0-3 start this season, losing to Mount St. Mary's, Loyola, and Michigan.
• The Tigers possess an incredibly balanced scoring effort as they boast five players who all share the team lead in goals with five.
• Freshman Milana Zizakovic is leading the team in points, as the rookie has picked up two assists on top of her five goals.
• Midfielders Blair Goodrich and Blair Pearre share the team lead for caused turnovers this season with four apiece.
• Goalie Sara Tyssowski has started all three games, making 22 saves and earning a .400 save percentage on the year.
• Head coach Sonia LaMonica is in the midst of her 12th season at Towson.
MATCHUP NOTES:
• Saint Joseph's and Towson are meeting for the fifth time. The Tigers are 3-1 all-time against the Hawks, with their most recent win coming at Sweeney Field last season. A late goal by Kolkka led the Hawks to their lone victory in the series via a 13-12 win on February 15, 2020.
