PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse travels to Drexel on Tuesday to take on the Dragons at Vidas Field. The Hawks (4-1) are riding a three-game winning streak, while the Dragons (2-2) are on a two game winning streak of their own. Opening face-off is set for 3:00 p.m.

ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
  • After jumping out to an early 3-0 lead, the Hawks never looked back on Saturday, defeating Monmouth 15-10.
  • The Hawks are receiving votes in all three major polls.
  • Sophomore Carter Page led the team's offensive efforts, scoring four goals and assisting on one other.
  • Junior Matt Bohmer added three goals, as he continued to lead the team in both goals and points. The Charlotte, North Carolina native has tallied 17 goals and seven assists on the season.
  • Zach Cole leads the team in ground balls with 59, and he continues to dominate on faceoffs, winning 72.9% of them.
  • After causing five turnovers against Monmouth, Patrick Clemens leads the team with six caused turnovers on the year. His five caused turnovers and one goal against Monmouth garnered him NEC Defensive Player of the Week laurels. 
  • Tucker Almany (4-1) has made 54 saves this season and boasts a .500 save percentage.
  • With a win, the Hawks will have started 5-1 for the second time in the last three seasons.
ABOUT DREXEL:
  • Drexel was 10-3 in 2021, gaining an NCAA Tournament berth, where the Dragons lost to the sixth-seeded Notre Dame. 
  • On Saturday, the Dragons defeated LIU, 10-8.
  • Sophomore Sean Donnelly has scored nine goals and tallied three assists to lead the Dragons in both goals and points this season.
  • Goalie Ross Blumenthal has scooped up 11 ground balls to lead the Dragons this season. The senior has made 47 saves with a save percentage of .580. 
  • Defenders Brennan Greenwald and Jack Farrell lead the team in caused turnovers with five apiece. 
  • Brian Voelker is in his thirteenth season as the head coach of Drexel.
MATCHUP NOTES:
  • St. Joe's and Drexel have played each other a total of 14 times. Drexel has found success in this matchup, winning 12 of the 14 battles. Most recently, the Hawks emerged victorious in 2020, defeating the Dragons 10-9 at Vidas Field.
