Men’s Lacrosse Hosts Sacred Heart on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse will host Sacred Heart on Saturday for Senior Day. The Hawks will recognize seniors Adam Ritter, Alexander Borg, Tucker Brown, Zach Cole, Andrew Chilson, Matt Popeck, Ryan Doran, Zach Mantei, Logan Blondell, Joe Burnham, Choice Mostellar, Cole Peters, Anthony Perhacs, and Dillon Lojeski prior to the 3:30 opening faceoff.

ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S:
  • After an enormous road win against LIU, the Hawks are now appearing 20th in all three of the major national polls and are one win away from clinging to the NEC Regular Season title.
  • The Hawks have the 19th ranked scoring offense and the 16th ranked defense nationally.
  • Matt Bohmer leads the team with 46 points. The junior has scored 32 goals and has assisted on 14 others.
  • Four Hawks have scored over 20 goals this season, including sophomore Carter Page, who has compiled 31 goals. Senior Tucker Brown has scored 28 goals, and senior Levi Anderson rounds out the group with 20.
  • Zach Cole, fresh off a Tewaaraton Award Nomination, looks to continue his incredible season at the X. The senior leads the nation in faceoff percentage and ground balls per game, winning 73% of his face offs and grabbing 11.82 ground balls per contest.
  • Patrick Clemens continues to cause problems for opposing offenses as the junior leads the team with 13 caused turnovers.
  • Goaltender Robbie Seeley is 6-0 and has compiled a .536 save percentage.
ABOUT SACRED HEART:
  • The Pioneers are 3-8 overall and 1-4 in league play this season.
  • On Saturday, the Bryant Bulldogs dropped Sacred Heart, 22-10.
  • Sophomores Morgan O'Reilly and Sal Miccio are the two leaders of the Pioneer offense. The two have combined for 44 goals and 71 points.
  • Sacred Heart has experimented with three different goalies this season. Junior Nicky LaBanca has started in 10 of 11 games and has compiled a 2-5 record.
  • Jon Basti is entering his ninth season as the head coach of the Pioneers.
