CHESTER Pa. - The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team completed the two-day Widener Invitational on Saturday with multiple career best performances.Â

FRIDAY NIGHT TRACK EVENTS:
- Kicking off competition for the Hawks, rookie Kevin Jumper placed eighth overall in the 5,000m in a time of 14:53.42 to record a personal best in this event. Sophomore Noah Deckert also dipped under the 15-minute mark for his debut 5,000m. Deckert's official time was 14:59.04.
 SATURDAY TRACK EVENTS:
- Sophomore Vincent Twomey led the Crimson and Gray in the 1,500m with a six-second PR time of 4:01.59.
- Senior Michael Szwed took fourth in the 400m with a time of 49.67. Rookie Jake Carrubba also came away with a collegiate best time of 51.25.
- Sean Murphy cruised to a collegiate best time of 1:55.54 in the 800m to take ninth overall. Joshua Thaler and Lleyton Winslow also set collegiate bests in this event to lead a strong overall showing for SJU.
- Senior Ryan Dao placed 12th in the 400m hurdles to set a collegiate best time of 59.09.
- In his steeple chase debut, junior Ryne Beni claimed seventh place in a time of 9:59.41.
UP NEXT:
St. Joe's will head to Franklin Field for the historic Penn Relays, which will run Thursday April 28 to Saturday April 30. For the student-athletes not competing at the Penn Relays, they will head to the Lehigh Covert classic on April 30.
