PHILADELPHIA - The distance side of the Saint Joseph's men's track, and field team took a trip down to North Philly to compete in the Temple Invitational Friday evening.

TRACK EVENTS:
- To kick things off, the Crimson & Gray swept the top three spots in the 800m. Senior Zach Smith claimed gold in a time of 1:56.05. Sophomore Owen Moelter claimed sliver in a time of 1:56.16 and sophomore Sean Murphy took bronze in a time of 1:56.16. Both Smith and Murphy set collegiate-best times in this event.
- In the 1,500m, rookie Ethan McIntyre was the Hawks top finisher placing fifth in a time of 4:01.06 to set a new PR. Tommy Johnson and Dawson Baptiste also both set a collegiate best in this event.
UP NEXT:
On Saturday, the sprints side of the team will head to Fairfax, Va. to compete in the George Mason Spring Invitational. The rest of the team will return to action the following weekend to compete in Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational which will run from April 15 through April 16.
