RICHMOND, Va. - Saint Joseph's men's track and field team scored 43 points to place ninth at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which concluded on Sunday.
SCORING PERFORMANCES:
- Kicking things off for the Hawks, the 4x100m relay notched a sixth-place finish with a time of 43.03.
- The Hawks had two scorers come out of the 400m final. Senior Michael Welde took fourth in a time of 48.51. Right behind him was rookie Michael Brittingham who claimed sixth in a time of 49.28
- In the 400m hurdles, senior Kyle Magee grabbed a fifth-place finish in a time of 53.94.
- In a photo finish with La Salle, the Hawks were just out leaned to claim second in the 4x800m relay. The Crimson & Gray recorded a time of 7:41.14. The relay was comprised of sophomore Owen Moelter, graduate student Stephen McClellan, sophomore Gavin Campbell, and senior Michael Szwed.
- Closing out an incredible showing at this meet, sophomore Patrick Fehm placed eighth in the triple jump with a best mark of 14.07m. Fehm went three for three this weekend scoring in every event he was entered in.
- In an exciting conclusion to the meet, the 4x400m of Brittingham, Kris Edobi, Magee, and Welde notched a time of 3:16.44 to place second overall.Â

Qualifying athletes will head to Williamsburg, Va. to compete in the IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships which will run from Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15.
