PHILADELPHIA & BETHLEHEM Pa.- The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team wrapped up a busy final week of regular season competition at both the Penn Relays and the Lehigh John and Carol Covert Classic.

THURSDAY- PENN RELAYS
- Graduate student Kyle Magee kicked off competition for the weekend racing the open 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays. Magee finished 18th overall in a time of 53.25s.
FRIDAY- PENN RELAYS Â
- The distance medley relay of Matt Coffey (1,200m), Michael Brittingham (400m), Jayden Greene (800m), and Ira Daly (1,600m) competed well in the college men's section. The group placed eighth overall in a season-best time of 9:53.33.
- In the Championship of America section of the sprint medley relay, the group of Jake Carrubba, Donald Adams, Michael Szwed, and Owen Moelter notched an 11th place finish in a time of 3:35.44.
- The men's 4x400m continued to show up in big races, qualifying for Saturday's final in a time of 3:18.33 to claim the sixth fastest time of the prelims. The relay was comprised of Brittingham, Darren Cammauf, Luke Noss, and Magee.
SATURDAY- PENN RELAYS
- The 4x800m relay took down a loaded field to place second overall in the college section. Rookie Maris Tranquille led off for the Hawks, handing off the baton to sophomore Joshua Thaler for the second leg. Gavin Campbell ran the third leg for the Hawks and Jayden Greene anchored. Their time of 7:27.33 misses the school record, but currently ranks first in the Atlantic 10.
- In the college men's final of the 4x400m relay Noss, Magee, Cammauf, and Brittingham ran to an A-10 leading time of 3:11.46 to take fourth overall. Of note, Brittingham's split proved a huge personal best on the anchor leg, running 46.18.
SATURDAY- TRACK LEHIGH
- Aidan Doherty grabbed his first individual win in the 3,000m steeplechase in a huge personal best time of 9:47.30. Ryne Beni was third in a time of 10:08.27
- Dawson Baptiste grabbed a third-place finish in the 1,500m in a time of 4:03.59. Colton Johnson was in next for the Crimson and Gray, placing fifth in a time of 4:04.09.
- James Mackey Jr. was the Hawks top finisher in the 400m, placing fourth in a time of 50.94s.
- Also grabbing a third-place finish was Sean Murphy in the 800m, who crossed line in a time of 1:54.90.
- One week after his breakthrough race in the 10,000m, Dylan Zuch returned to the track one last time for the Hawks to compete in the 5,000m. Zuch went on to break 16 minutes in this race, knocking close to 30 seconds off of his previous personal-best time to place fifth overall.
SATURDAY- FIELD LEHIGH
- The Hawks went one-two in the long jump with rookie Cameron Campbell-Miller grabbing the win with a best jump of 6.80m. John Salt was second overall in a leap of 6.52m.
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will travel to Amherst Mass. to begin post season competition at the 2023 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Massachusetts. The two-day competition will begin on Saturday, May 6
th and will conclude on Sunday, May 7
