CHESTER, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team posted several top finishes, including multiple individual wins and two relay victories, at the Dan Curran Invitational hosted by Widener.
TRACK RESULTS (FRIDAY)
Saint Joseph's opened the meet Friday in the 5000m, where
Anthony Gargani led the Hawks with a fourth-place finish in 14:31.62.
Jay Shanahan followed in seventh with a time of 14:44.47, while
Ian Romea finished 25th in 15:19.00.
Eli Stoudt rounded out the group with a time of 15:30.97.
TRACK RESULTS (SATURDAY)
The Hawks finished with first-place in the 4x100m relay, as
Paride Iacono,
Logan Henry,
Jerael Moore, and
Benjamin Henry combined for a winning time of 41.86.
The Hawks turned in a strong performance in the 100m, led by
Jerael Moore's third-place finish in 10.86 and
Logan Maloney's fourth-place finish in 10.88.
Paride Iacono ran 11.26,
Henry Peklo finished in 11.27,
Adam Petersen recorded a time of 11.40, and
Layton Holt finished in 11.45.
Logan Maloney led the Hawks in the 200m with a second-place finish in 21.53, while
Paride Iacono placed seventh in 22.01.
Eli Turner ran 22.87 and
Henry Peklo recorded a season-best time of 22.91.
Benjamin Henry earned a first-place finish in the 400m with a time of 47.47.
Alex Wockenfuss recorded a personal-best time of 48.98 to place sixth, while
Cristian Cruz ran 49.86 and
Chris Manzo finished in 49.95.
Tommy Silvester ran 50.00,
Regent Walden finished in 50.47,
Eli Turner posted a season-best time of 50.94, and
Elijah Smith recorded a time of 51.52.
Luke Noss earned a first-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a season-best time of 53.98, while
Brody Wyatt placed third with a personal-best time of 55.39.
In the 800m,
Christian Napoli led the Hawks with a time of 1:57.36.
RJ Mallery ran 1:58.72,
Joey Lanci recorded a personal-best time of 1:58.79,
Colin Donahoe finished in 1:59.65, and Matthew Carnes ran 2:00.34.
The Hawks placed four runners in the top six of the 1500m, led by
Brendan Hefferan's second-place finish in 3:58.73.
Matt Hoffman placed fourth in 3:59.17,
Ryan Cichocki recorded a personal-best time of 3:59.61 to finish fifth, and
Evan McGregor placed sixth in 3:59.64.
Josh Forrest ran 4:02.56,
Anton Bovone finished in 4:03.25,
Jackson Kane recorded a time of 4:05.68, and
Immanuel Rota-Talarico finished in 4:09.43.
The Hawks closed the meet with a win in the 4x400m relay, as
Luke Noss,
Cristian Cruz,
Chris Manzo, and
Alex Wockenfuss combined for a first-place finish in 3:16.82.
FIELD RESULTS
Logan Henry led the Hawks in the field events with a mark of 5.85m in the long jump.
