Trio of Relay Teams Score in Final Day of Atlantic 10 Championships

AMHERST, Mass. – All three Saint Joseph's men's track and field relay teams secured points in the final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships while Kyle Magee highlighted individual performances with a podium finish in the 400m hurdles.
 
SCORING PERFORMANCES
  • The Hawks opened competition on the final day of the Championships in the 4x100m relay. The crew of Donald Adams, John Salt, Jake Carrubba and James Mackey Jr. placed seventh with a finish of 43.84s.
  • Michael Brittingham held off a late charge from a pair of runners to secure fifth in the 400m finals with a time of 47.65s.
  • The Hawks doubled up in scoring positions in the 400m hurdles, led by a third-place finish from Kyle Magee as the graduate student podiumed with a time of 53.11s for a season-best time. Luke Noss added to the points tally with his eighth-place time of 55.34s.
  • Moving onto the relays, the Hawks were able to close with some valuable points in the 4x800m. The group of Owen Moelter, Sean Murphy, Joshua Thaler and Michael Szwed finished with a time of 7:31.81 to place fourth.
  • To close out the meet, the Hawks finished on a strong note through the efforts of Noss, Brittingham, Darren Cammauf and Magee. The 4x400m relay squad secured a podium finish with their third-place time of 3:12.99.
 
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
  • Ira Daly set a new best mark in the 1500m, narrowly missing out on a scoring finish with his 10th place time of 3:48.62, less than a second separating seventh through 10th. Vincent Twomey also set a new personal best in the event with a 3:57.40 effort.
  • A personal best time from Patrick Coyle nearly saw the sophomore enter the top eight for scoring in the 5000m, the 14:49.40 finish just under 10 seconds off a scoring mark. Matt Coffey placed just two places and under two seconds off his teammate in 13th.
