BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's cross country team concluded action at the Paul Short Run on Saturday afternoon.
 
ABOUT THE EVENT

• The men competed on an 8K course in the Gold race, the highest field in the event.
• St. Joe's finished 32^nd out of 43 teams.
• 392 runners spanned across the gold race, 514 runners competing in the open race. Nine Hawks competed in the open event.

 
HOW THE HAWKS FINISHED (MEN'S COLLEGE GOLD 8K)

• Anthony Gargani paced the Hawks with the top time for the Crimson and Gray, securing a time of 25:21.7 to place 67^th.
• Jay Shanahan followed his teammate with a time of 25:29.2, while Matt Coffey entered as the third Hawk to cross the line at 25:38.4.
• A pair of Hawks in Noah Deckert and Aidan Groff finished the scoring with times of 25:44.0 and 25:51.6, respectively.
• Vincent Twomey raced to his career best in the event with a 42 second PR after finishing in 26:10.3.
• Will Rau (26:35.6) and Colton Johnson (26:52.8) rounded out the runners in the premier event.

 
HOW THE HAWKS FINISHED (OPEN MEN'S 8K)

• Tomek Przybylak made his debut for the Crimson and Gray in the 8K with a time of 25:54.8 while teammate Aidan Doherty paced just behind with a 25:55.5 time.
• Also making his debut, freshman Ryan Cichocki ended his run with a 26:05.2 finish.
• Evan McGregor's time of 26:13.6 saw him finish in the top 100 with a 26:13.6.
• Tommy Johnson, Ian Romea and Owen Hibshman all made debuts in the 8k.
