WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team opened the fall portion of its schedule on Wednesday, traveling to Monmouth and falling by a 6-1 score.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Monmouth (3-0) took the doubles point with a trio of 6-3 wins.
• The hosts would secure the match victory with straight-sets victories in five of the six singles flights.
• Saint Joseph's (0-1) earned a point in the fourth flight, as
Santiago Valle earned his first collegiate victory with a 6-7 (7), 7-5, 10-1 supertiebreaker win.
