MERION STATION, Pa. – Men's tennis freshman Matthew Dubas battled from a set down to win his singles draw final on Sunday as play concluded at the SJU Invitational on Sunday.

Dubas rallied to beat Drexel's Will Burridge, 5-7, 7-6 (3), 10-8 in a supertiebreaker to claim the Gray singles title.  Ernesto Ruy played in the Crimson final as well, but fell to Miguel Machado of Bryant, 6-4, 6-7 (6), 12-10 in a supertiebreaker of his own.

Justus Agbo and Santiago Valle also reached a final, dismissing a duo from Jefferson in the Crimson doubles semifinal before falling, 6-1, to Adam Kresina and Martim Marujo of Temple in the final.

Valle was also in action in singles play, topping Drexel's Phillip Rein in a Crimson flight consolation semifinal before falling to Kresina in the final.

All told, the Hawks collected 20 wins across three singles flights and two doubles flights over the course of the weekend.

The Hawks return to action a week from Thursday at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships at Penn.
