Women’s Track and Field Impress at Fastrack National

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's women's track and field team recorded 11 personal bests to highlight action on Friday at the Fastrack National.
 
TRACK RESULTS
  • Felicia Oh made her collegiate debut in the 60m hurdles, taking a time of 9.55s in her lone heat.
  • In the 3000m, the Hawks were led by Katie Sparks, who set a five-second personal record with a time of 10:26.42. Ava Curry made a debut in the event with a 10:42.19 time. Madison Buddenbohn's time of 10:42.19 just edged out teammate Carlyn Segrave-Daly, the sophomore chopping nearly 13 seconds off her personal best. Grace Fennell also set a PR with a time of 10:50.98 while Payton Kochanski made her debut in the event.
  • Sydney Rose continued her strong start to the year, placing third in the 60m dash with a time of 7.65s in the field of 91 competitors. Briyel Brown finished under eight seconds with a 7.94s finish, while Olivia Binns matched her PR time of 7.99s.
  • Danielle Juliano paced a group of Hawks in the mile, finishing with the team's best time of 5:09.73. Becca Millar highlighted the event by taking 28 seconds off of her previous best time in the event.
  • Kimberly Johnson broke the first of two personal bests for herself in the 400m, a 57.72s finish proving the third-fastest time in the 96-competitor event. Tess Crossan finished in a scoring position with a seventh-place finish, also setting a personal best with a time of 58.19s. Jacki Harding finished just outside of the top eight, her time of 58.65s good for ninth.
  • Majken Lutzen continues a strong indoor campaign with a fourth-place finish in the 800m, setting a two-second personal best in the event with a 2:15.13 time. Samantha Korck followed just behind with a sixth-place time of 2:15.88, also setting a personal best. Alexis Westawski finished a strong grouping to secure an eighth-place finish of 2:17.92.
  • Briyel Brown nearly finished in a scoring position in the 200m, her 25.70s time placing her just outside of the top eight in ninth. Johnson also set a new personal best in the event with a 25.97s finish.
