PRINCETON, N.J. – The Saint Joseph's women's track and field team took to the track in Princeton for the second time in three weeks this weekend,
Sydney Rose earning a first-place finish in the 100m to highlight the meet.
FRIDAY FIELD EVENTS
- Lily Ferguson opened the weekend in the long jump, jumping to a 5.06m distance on her second attempt.
FRIDAY TRACK EVENTS
- On the track, Majken Lutzen won her heat with a five-second PR, finishing with a time of 2:10.55 to set the third-fastest time in St. Joe's program history. Samantha Korck followed the freshman with a time of 2:17.19.
SATURDAY TRACK EVENTS
- The relay team of Maris Rodriguez, Sydney Rose, Judith Walker and Jacki Harding opened Saturday's action in the 4x100m relay, finishing fourth with a time of 47.71s.
- Danielle Juliano was the lone Hawk in the 1500m, crossing the line in a time of 4:48.52.
- Setting a new PR, Jessica Rubio went sub-59 seconds in the 400m with a 58.88s finish to place 15th. Kimberly Johnson followed her teammate with a time of 59.61s.
- Rose highlighted the day on the track with a first-place finish in the 100m. The senior sped to a time of 12.14s, edging the field by .02s to take the top time in the field. Briyel Brown finished in a tie for 14th in her debut in the event, her time of 12.433s matching to a thousandth of a second with an opponent. Judith Walker (12.57s) and Olivia Binns (12.88s) rounded out a contingency of Hawks in the event.
- Ava Curry finished just outside of a scoring position as the junior placed 10th in the 800m with a time of 2:17.45. Alexis Doherty followed Curry with a time of 2:21.00.
- Harding took the fastest time of a trio of Hawks in the 200m, finishing 16th with a time of 25.28s. Brown set a new PR by just .05s, crossing the line in 25.51s while Walker rounded out the event with a 25.73s time.

The Hawks take part in the Widener Invitational next weekend in a two-day meet, action starting on Friday, April 19.
