VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. –
Tess Crossan earned gold in the 800m and added a second in the 4x800m relay on Saturday to help propel the Saint Joseph's women's track and field team to a tie for fifth place at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.
The Hawks tied with Richmond on 73 points; VCU eked out the league title by 2.5 points over Rhode Island, with Dayton finishing third and George Mason fourth.
TRACK RESULTS
Crossan outdueled Richmond's Caroline Donohoe by six-hundredths of a second in the 800m, turning in a 2:09.96 for gold.
Karin Dobiasch was close behind in 2:10.39, good for bronze, while
Samantha Korck was fourth in 2:11.52.
That Hawk trio then teamed with
Majken Lutzen to cement Saint Joseph's supremacy at the distance with a nearly nine-second victory in the 4x800m relay, setting a new meet record in 8:48.14.
Quinn O'Brien added to the Hawks' medal haul with a third-place finish in the 1000m, coming in at 2:47.90 to match her school-record time; Lutzen was on her heels in fourth in 2:47.99. Both times were faster than the previous meet record by more than a half-second.
Elsewhere, the 4x400m relay placed fourth, with
Kendall Cooper,
Taylor Rosen,
Crystal Benito, and
Sammy Walz checking in at 3:49.72; the finish left Saint Joseph's as the only team with top-four finishes in all three relays after Friday's bronze medal in the distance medley relay.
Walz ran in the 400m final as well, notching a personal best with a 56.50 to finish fourth.
Tamasen Allen Bey and
Olivia Binns earned points for the Hawks in the 60m sprint, placing fifth and seventh, respectively, with personal-best times of 7.63 and 7.73.
Olivia Beddow ran in the 500m final, recording a time of 1:20.12 to place eighth.
Walz, Binns, and Allen Bey would later go on to finish sixth, seventh, and eighth in the 200m final in times of 25.06, 25.17, and 25.44, respectively.
In the mile,
Ali Fink recorded a personal best with a 5:07.51, while
Chloe Care recorded a 5:08.06.
Clare Kornacki (5:18.55) and
Payton Kochanski (5:18.87) turned in personal bests as well.
Grace Rudder paced four Hawks competing in the 3000m, turning in a seventh-place finish in 9:59.23.
Sabrina Paz came in with a 10:09.50,
Abby Tuturice recorded a 10:24.37, and
Katrina Endres notched a 10:40.15.
