Hawks Close Out A-10 Championships with Relay Gold and Multiple Top Finishes

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Saint Joseph's women's track and field team closed out competition with a strong showing in the finals, highlighted by a gold-medal relay performance and multiple top-five finishes across a competitive slate of events.

TRACK EVENTS

  • The Hawks were led by a standout performance in the 4x800m relay, as the quartet of Tess Crossan, Samantha Korck, Quinn O'Brien, and Karin Dobiasch captured gold with a time of 8:44.49, delivering one of the top moments of the meet for Saint Joseph's.
  • In the 1500m final, Quinn O'Brien paced the Hawks with a seventh-place finish in 4:33.88, while Ali Fink added a 12th-place result, crossing in 4:45.16.
  • Saint Joseph's saw strong representation in the sprint finals, led by Sammy Walz in the 100m, where she placed fourth overall in 11.96. Mariam Koita also scored for the Hawks, finishing seventh in 12.20.
  • Walz returned in the 200m final to notch another fourth-place finish with a time of 24.57, while Koita followed with a seventh-place result in 25.04.
  • In the 800m final, Karin Dobiasch led a strong Hawks contingent, placing fourth in 2:10.69, with Tess Crossan close behind in fifth at 2:13.04.
  • The 4x100m relay team of Olivia Binns, Mariam Koita, Samantha Walz, and Tamasen Allen Bey turned in a solid performance, finishing fifth overall with a time of 47.05.
  • In distance events, Grace Rudder delivered a top five finish in the 5000m, placing fifth with a time of 17:12.85. Sabrina Paz finished 20th in 17:51.42, Jonalee Adames placed 21st in 17:52.78, and Carlyn Segrave-Daly came in 27th with a time of 18:15.69 to round out the Hawks' efforts in the event.
  • Earlier in the meet, Katrina Endres placed 15th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:38.12, while Payton Kochanski finished 18th in 11:53.49.
  • The 4x400m relay team of Kendall Cooper, Alessandra Schuster, Taylor Rosen, and Olivia Beddow closed out the day for Saint Joseph's, finishing 10th overall with a time of 3:49.85.

The Hawks are set to compete at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 11.
