Saint Joseph's women's track and field senior Tess Crossan and juniors Karin Dobiasch and Majken Lutzen have earned academic honors from multiple organizations.  Crossan was named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team, while all three were tabbed for the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Crossan, a food marketing major from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, won three Atlantic 10 titles this year; she claimed gold in the indoor 800m and was part of both 4x800m relay squads as the Hawks swept both the indoor and outdoor crowns.  She also won the 800m at the ECAC Indoor Championships and ran in the 4x800m Championship of America at the Penn Relays, one of the most prestigious races in the nation.

Majoring in finance and hailing from Munich, Germany, Dobiasch ran the anchor leg of the 4x800m relay for the Hawks, claiming gold at both the Indoor and Outdoor Atlantic 10 Championships in addition to competing in the Championship of America race at the Penn Relays.  Individually, she brought home the bronze medal from the 800m at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships and placed fourth at the Outdoor Championships.

Lutzen was also part of the 4x800m squad that took gold at the A-10 Indoor Championships and placed second at the ECAC Indoor Championships.  The business intelligence and analytics major from Copenhagen, Denmark, also placed fourth in the 1000m at the A-10 Indoor Championships in a time that eclipsed the previous meet record.

The Academic All-Area Team is voted upon by athletic communications offices of the 30 schools in the Philadelphia region; eligible student-athletes must be in at least their second year at their institution and maintain a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.  To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, awarded by College Sports Communicators, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA and reach certain regional-ranking benchmarks.
