Relay and Sprint Wins Highlight Women's Track and Field's Performance at Dan Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. - A combination of event titles, personal bests, and relay success marked a solid weekend for the Saint Joseph's women's track and field team at the Dan Curran Invitational hosted by Widener.

TRACK RESULTS (FRIDAY)
In the lone event for Hawks on Friday, Abby Tuturice led the Hawks with an 11th-place finish at 17:56.34 in the 500m. Khya D'Angelo followed closely behind in 13th with a personal-best time of 17:58.80, while Carlyn Segrave-Daly also recorded a personal best, finishing 22nd in 18:15.59. Noelia Reyes rounded out the group with a time of 18:56.79.

TRACK RESULTS (SATURDAY)
Saint Joseph's started Saturday strong with a first-place finish in the 4x100m relay, as the team of Tamasen Allen Bey, Olivia Binns, Mariam Koita, and Sammy Walz crossed the line in 46.98.

The Hawks continued their strong sprinting in the 100m, where Tamasen Allen Bey took first place in 11.92 and Olivia Binns finished fifth in 12.27. Maya Adams followed in 12.63 and Cecilia Abruzzo crossed in 12.83.

Mariam Koita led another strong showing for the Hawks in the 200m, taking first place in 24.91, while Binns finished second in 25.29. Adams and Abruzzo each recorded season-best performances with times of 25.96 and 26.12. Alessandra Schuster added a season-best time of 27.20, and Rylee Barnhart finished in 28.38.

The Hawks dominated the 400m, claiming four of the top five spots. Kendall Cooper led the group with a first-place finish in 56.60, followed closely by Tess Crossan in second with 56.85, Karin Dobiasch in third with 56.91, and Samantha Korck in fourth with 57.58. Olivia Beddow recorded a personal-best time of 58.44, while Stephanie Cristinzio finished in 1:00.40, Alessandra Schuster ran a season-best 1:00.63, Alyssa Bloxton finished in 1:00.67, and Rylee Barnhart recorded a season-best 1:04.68 to round out the event for the Hawks.

In the 800m, Carolyn Smith led Saint Joseph's with a third-place finish and a season-best time of 2:18.70. Gemma Chevoor placed fifth in 2:19.55, followed by Sara Sherlock in sixth with a season-best time of 2:20.20. Chloe Care finished in 2:22.51 and Ali Fink recorded a time of 2:24.65 for the Hawks.

Saint Joseph's placed two runners in the top three of the 1500m as Quinn O'Brien finished second in 4:40.55 and Grace Rudder placed third in 4:43.88. Sabrina Paz ran 4:51.70 and Majken Lutzen finished in 4:52.14 just outside the top 10, while Katrina Endres recorded a time of 4:58.86, Clare Kornacki ran 4:59.94, and Jonalee Adames finished in 5:00.33.

Payton Kochanski earned a third-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:39.85.

The Hawks closed the meet with another win in the 4x400m relay, as Tess Crossan, Karin Dobiasch, Samantha Korck, and Crystal Benito took first place with a time of 3:54.59.

FIELD RESULTS
Lily Ferguson led the Hawks in the lone field event with a sixth-place finish in the long jump, recording a mark of 5.38m.

The Hawks return to the track on April 4 at the Sam Howell Invitational.
