WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference Teams, Saint Joseph's women's track freshman
Majken Lutzen earning All-Rookie honors.
Lutzen capped off an impressive campaign, finishing sixth at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships in the 800m after qualifying for the finals with the top time in the field. Finishing with the top time among rookies, Lutzen was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team. Following her performance at the conference championships, Lutzen finished her season with a third-place finish in the 800m at the ECAC Outdoor Championships.
During the season, Lutzen broke the school record in the 800m at the Widener Invitational, finishing second in the event with a time of 2:08.59. The Copenhagen native beat the previous time set in 2001 by more than four-tenths of a second. Lutzen also teamed up to help the distance medley relay break a school record at the Penn Relays, finishing nearly a second quicker than the previous record set in 1999 with a finish of 11:35.87.
