Men’s Track and Field Shines at Scarlet Knight Open

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team populated the podium in its return to The Armory on Friday for the second-consecutive week.
 
 
TRACK RESULTS
  • Five Hawks entered the track to begin the meet in the 60m. Logan Henry led the group of Hawks with a 7.14s finish. Adam Petersen followed behind in 7.19s, while Cameron Campbell-Miller and Henry Peklo each finished with a time of 7.24s. Eli Turner rounded out the group just behind with a 7.30s finish.
  • The Hawks were led in the mile by rookie Matt Hoffman, the freshman finishing in 4:24.06. Ethan McIntyre crossed the finish in 4:28.63, while Eli Stoudt (4:36.70) followed shortly behind.
  • Six Hawks finished in the top 11 of the 600m, led by a second-place finish from Jayden Greene (1:19.38). Only two-tenths separated Greene from Elijah Smith's time of 1:19.58, securing third place. Graham Phillips (1:20.32) and Tommy Silvester (1:20.88) finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Chris Manzo was the third freshman to finish in the top 10 with an eighth-place time of 1:21.58, while Joshua Thaler rounded out the group in a time of 1:22.27.
  • Regent Walden placed in the top fourth of the field, taking 14th place in the 400m with a time of 51.47s.
  • Will Rau earned a third-place finish in the 1000m, finishing more than three seconds ahead of fourth place with a time of 2:24.64. Anton Bovone finished fifth with a time of 2:28.40, freshman Brendan Hefferan following just behind with a sixth-place effort of 2:29.62. Dawson Baptiste (2:30.29) and Vincent Twomey (2:33.87) each finished in the top 10.
  • Tom Barausky finished fifth in a 50-man field in the 800m, coming in less than two-tenths off a top three finish with his time of 1:54.59. Immanuel Rota-Talarico finished just outside of the top eight with a finish of 1:57.31. Colin Donahoe (2:02.18) and Matt Carnes (2:03.41) rounded out the event.
  • Turner (22.74s) and Petersen (22.93s) were separated by .19s in the 200m.
  • Ryan Cichocki claimed a spot on the podium in the 3000m, finishing third with a time of 8:32.57.  Ian Romea followed in 8:55.08
 
FIELD RESULTS
  • In the college section of the long jump, Cameron Campbell-Miller took the top spot on his final attempt, claiming first place with a leap of 7.02m. Logan Henry's sixth and final leap proved his best, securing third place in the event. 
 
UP NEXT
The men and women head up to Boston next weekend to compete in the Scarlet and White Invite on Saturday, February 8.
