MERION STATION, Pa. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team earned a pair of wins on Saturday, cruising past Le Moyne, 4-1, before shutting out Coppin State, 7-0, at the SJU Tennis Complex.
 
Saint Joseph's 4, Le Moyne 1
• The Hawks got things started with the doubles point, as Justus Agbo and Matthew Cizmarik teamed up for a 6-1 win in the third flight; Matthew Dubas and Santiago Valle finished off their second-flight opponents, 6-4, to seal the point.
 
• Valle then rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 win in the third flight before Ernesto Ruy brought the Hawks to the precipice of victory with a 6-4, 6-4 win in the second.
 
• The Dolphins picked up a win in the first flight, but Dubas finished off his fourth-flight match, 6-0, 6-4, to secure the win.

• Dubas and Valle won at love in the second doubles flight to start off the nightcap before Ruy and Othman Bezzaz won 6-2 in the first flight to lock up the doubles point.
 
• It was a clean sweep of the singles flights for the Hawks, with Agbo winning, 6-0, 6-1, in the first, Ruy taking a 6-2, 6-1 result in the second, and Valle winning by a 6-2, 7-5 score in the third.
 
• The Hawks took the final three flights as well, which were contested in eight-game pro sets.  Dubas won 8-1 in the fourth, Cizmarik won 8-2 in the fifth, and Eli Gan-Dy blanked his opponent, 8-0, in the sixth.

"A great team effort today for the guys," head coach Jeff Puhan said.  "They came out strong in doubles and continued through singles play.  Now we get ready to floor Georgetown next Saturday."
