OLEAN, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team blanked St. Bonaventure, topping the Bonnies by a 7-0 score on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Justus Agbo and
Eli Gan-Dy started things off with a win in the third doubles flight; soon after,
Matthew Dubas and
Santiago Valle won their second-flight match to secure the doubles point.
• The Hawks swept all six singles matches to finish off the shutout. Agbo won his first-flight match in three sets, as did
Ernesto Ruy in the second. Valle and Dubas were winners in straight sets in the third and fourth, respectively, while
Othman Bezzaz cruised in the fifth and Gan-Dy won at love in the sixth.

"It was a great day for the Hawks," head coach
Jeff Puhan said. "After losing twice to St. Bonaventure last year, it was nice to make a statement this year and get the sweep and start off 2-0 in Atlantic 10 play. Now we get ready for a battle with Dayton tomorrow."
