WASHINGTON – Saint Joseph's freshman Santiago Valle was named the Atlantic 10's Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Valle posted a pair of singles wins last week, starting with a 6-2, 6-1 romp in the third flight against George Mason on April 9.  Two days later, he posted a 6-3, 6-3 win in the third flight against his opponent from nationally-ranked St. John's.
 
The San Luis Potosi, Mexico, native also team with Matthew Dubas for second-flight doubles win against George Mason, rolling to a 6-1 victory.
 
Valle has twice been named the league's Rookie of the Week, on March 19 and April 1.
 
The Hawks return to action tomorrow when they host NJIT.
