ORLANDO, Fla. – The seventh-seeded Saint Joseph's men's tennis team dominated 10th-seeded St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, winning by a 4-1 score to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship at the USTA National Campus.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks took the first point of the match in short order as
Justus Agbo and
Eli Gan-Dy rolled to a 6-0 win in the third doubles flight before
Matthew Dubas and
Santiago Valle won, 6-3, in the second to secure the early lead.
• After the Hawks took the sixth singles flight in a walkover, Dubas and
Othman Bezzaz won at love in the fourth and fifth flights, respectively, to clinch the match and send the Hawks on to the next round.
UP NEXT
The Hawks are set to meet second-seeded VCU in the quarterfinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
