OPENING TIP
Saint Joseph's returns to Hagan Arena on Sunday afternoon to host George Mason in a nationally televised Atlantic 10 matchup on CBS Sports Network.

The Hawks are coming off a 57-48 loss at St. Bonaventure, where a tough shooting night proved difficult to overcome. SJU shot 14-for-56 (25.0%) from the field in the loss.

Rhian Stokes scored a game-high 20 points in the defeat, adding five rebounds and three steals. Gabby Casey recorded 15 points and eight rebounds, marking her 15th double-digit scoring performance of the season. In 16 games this season, Casey has matched a mark that took her 68 games to reach over her first two seasons on Hawk Hill.

Saint Joseph's is second in the nation in assist rate, assisting on 73.8 percent of its made baskets. Only five teams nationally are above 70 percent, Northwestern leading the country at 73.9 percent.

Emily Knouse was named Big 5 Rookie of the Week after scoring 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting from 3-point range against La Salle.

SHARING IS CARING
The Hawks are second in the country with a 73.8 percent assist rate, assisting on 304 of their 412 field goals through the opening 17 games. Only five teams have an assist rate above 70 percent, Northwestern the only team ranking higher at 73.9 percent.

Taking care of the ball has been a staple of the Hawk offense over the prior three seasons. St. Joe's has ranked in the top 30 twice in the last three years in assist-turnover ratio while being a mainstay at the top of the leaderboard among Atlantic 10 teams. This season, the Hawks are in the top 30 in both assist/turnover ratio (1.22) and in assists per game (17.9), leading the A-10.

CASEY STEPPING UP
Gabby has done a little bit of everything for the Hawks in 2025-26, leading the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals per game. She has scored in double-digits in 15 of her 16 appearances on the year, collected at least five rebounds in 14 games and has tallied three steals in eight games. Casey has led St. Joe's in points and assists eight times, rebounds nine times, and has led the team in steals in 10 games. She is the only Hawk to have the best plus/minus in a game on more than two occasions, leading the Hawks with four times.

Through 16 games, Casey is 10 points, 41 rebounds, 19 assists and one steal shy of matching her career high set in 34 games in the 2024-25 season.

The Hawks replace four players from last year's starting lineup. Only Gabby Casey (33) entered the season having started seven or more games last year. Aleah Snead (6), Rhian Stokes (4) and Kaylie Griffin (1) also made starts in 2024-25.

Saint Joseph's has 14 players on the 2025-26 roster, representing four states and three countries outside the United States. Emirson Devenie (Australia) is the first Hawk to represent her country, while Meja Jägerskog (Sweden) and Olivia Lutterodt (Denmark) are each the second player from their respective countries to join the program.

A local influx sees nine of the 14 Hawks come from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, while Faith Stinson (Ohio) and Cecilia Kay (Massachusetts) round out the roster.
