PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team earned a win over a crosstown rival on Saturday as the Hawks defeated Drexel, 4-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Hawks claimed the doubles point with wins in the second and third flights.
Damir Abdusamadov and
Santiago Valle were 7-6 (6) winners in the second, while
John Butler and
Jakob Gaudreau Barnes took their third-flight match, 6-2.
• Drexel won the first singles match to be completed to tie the score, but the Hawks won flights two through four to win the match.
• Valle won in the second flight, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (6), while
Ernesto Ruy took the fourth flight, 6-2, 6-3. Abdusamadov clinched the win with a 7-6 (5), 5-7, 7-6 (5) victory in the third.
