OPENING TIP
Saint Joseph's is set for a rematch at La Salle on Wednesday after holding off the Explorers, 69-60, earlier this month inside Hagan Arena.

The Hawks return to action after cruising to a 72-53 victory over Duquesne, spurred by a career-high 26 points from Gabby Casey. The junior guard added 10 rebounds and five assists to record her third double-double of the season. Jill Jekot chipped in 14 points and four steals in her return to the lineup after missing the previous four games.

Cecilia Kay set a career-high five blocks in the win, helping St. Joe's record eight blocks as a team. Over the last five seasons, the Hawks have posted eight or more blocks three times and have reached that mark 24 times since the 2003-04 season.

Saint Joseph's ranks second nationally in assist rate, recording assists on 73.0 percent of its made baskets. Only three teams nationally eclipse the 70 percent mark, with Northwestern leading the country at 74.4 percent.

Head coach Cindy Griffin enters Wednesday one win shy of matching Stephanie Gaitley's mark of 220 Atlantic 10 victories, ranking second in conference history behind Joe McKeown's 240 wins.

SHARING IS CARING
St. Joe's has opened 2026 by assisting on 338 of its 463 made baskets through 19 games, accounting for assists on 73.0 percent of its field goals.

Ball movement has been a staple of the Hawk offense over the past three seasons. Saint Joseph's has ranked in the top 30 nationally twice in the last three years in assist-to-turnover ratio, while consistently sitting near the top of the Atlantic 10 leaderboard. This season, the Hawks rank near the top 30 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.19) and assists per game (17.8), leading the A-10.

CASEY STEPPING UP
Gabby Casey has done a little bit of everything for the Hawks in 2025-26, leading the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals per game. She has scored in double figures in 16 of her 18 appearances, collected at least five rebounds in 16 games and recorded three or more steals eight times.

Casey has led Saint Joseph's in scoring and assists nine times, rebounds 11 times and steals 10 times. She is the only Hawk to post a team-best plus/minus in a game more than twice, leading the squad with four such performances.

Through 18 games, Casey sits 21 rebounds and 13 assists shy of matching her career highs set during the 2024-25 season, marks that came across 34 games. She has already surpassed her previous season bests in points and steals.

ABOUT ST. JOE'S
The Hawks replace four players from last year's starting lineup. Only Gabby Casey (33) entered the season having started seven or more games last year. Aleah Snead (6), Rhian Stokes (4) and Kaylie Griffin (1) also made starts in 2024-25.

Saint Joseph's has 14 players on the 2025-26 roster, representing four states and three countries outside the United States. Emirson Devenie (Australia) is the first Hawk to represent her country, while Meja Jägerskog (Sweden) and Olivia Lutterodt (Denmark) are each the second player from their respective countries to join the program.

A local influx sees nine of the 14 Hawks come from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, while Faith Stinson (Ohio) and Cecilia Kay (Massachusetts) round out the roster.

SERIES HISTORY
Saint Joseph's holds a 56-16 all-time record against La Salle and enters Wednesday riding a five-game winning streak in the series. The Hawks' 56 wins are the second-most against a single opponent in program history, trailing only Rhode Island (60).

Head coach Cindy Griffin is 32-9 all-time against the Explorers, with her 32 victories marking the most she has recorded against any opponent during her 25-year tenure.
