PHILADELPHIA -
Khaafiq Myers of the Saint Joseph's men's basketball team has been named the Big 5 Rookie of the Week as announced on Monday afternoon. It is the first time this season he is receiving the honor.
Myers averaged 10.5 points per game in a pair of outings for the Hawks. At Saint Louis on Wednesday, he scored 12 points to mark his fourth straight game in double figures. He followed that performance with nine points and two steals against Davidson. After averaging 2.1 points per game through the first 10 contests of the season, the redshirt freshman guard is posting 11.6 points per game over his last five games and owns a 2.15-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio this year.
St. Joe's is in action twice this week, hosting Duquesne on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and playing at Richmond on Sunday at noon. The Duquesne game is on ESPN+ while the Richmond tilt is a national broadcast on USA Network.
