PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team wrapped up the indoor regular season at The Ott Center on Friday, competing in the Philadelphia Metro hosted by Penn. The Hawks showcased depth across multiple events, highlighted by personal bests and strong finishes.
TRACK EVENTS
In the mile,
Joey Lanci led the Hawks with a personal-best 4:17.83, finishing 12th overall.
Josh Forrest followed in 22nd with a time of 4:32.24.
The 60m dash featured
Benjamin Henry leading the Hawks with a runner-up finish in 6.88s. Jereal Moore set a personal best at 6.97s to place fifth, while
Adam Petersen and
Paride Iacono each finished in 7.26s.
Henry Peklo crossed in 7.28s.
The 500m dash saw
Alex Garcia finish second with a personal-best 1:04.17, followed closely by
Brody Wyatt in third with a personal-best 1:05.59.
RJ Mallery rounded out the scoring Hawks with a time of 1:07.81.
Darren Cammauf led the Hawks in the 400m with a fifth-place finish in 48.23, followed by
Luke Noss in sixth with a personal-best 48.66 and
Cristian Cruz in seventh at 48.89.
Layton Holt set a personal best at 50.58, and James Mackey and
Eli Turner also posted strong times of 50.83 and 51.14.
Will Rau paced the Hawks in the 800m with a fourth-place personal-best finish in 1:51.04 to make him third all time in program history indoors.
Anton Bovone finished seventh in 1:54.92, followed by
Immanuel Rota-Talarico in eighth at 1:55.07.
Jackson Kane,
Colin Donahoe,
Christian Napoli, and Matthew Carnes rounded out the distance group.
In the 1000m,
Michael Glavin finished third in 2:23.55, with
Ryan Cichocki close behind in fourth at 2:25.18.
Matt Hoffman,
Noah Deckert,
Brendan Hefferan, and
Evan McGregor also contributed strong finishes ranging from 2:28.62 to 2:30.71.
The 200m dash featured
Logan Maloney leading the Hawks with a fourth-place finish in 21.78, followed by
Jerael Moore in 21.99,
Paride Iacono in 22.46,
Logan Henry in 22.51,
Adam Petersen in 22.86, and
Henry Peklo in 23.00.
Eli Stoudt captured the 3000m title for the Hawks, finishing first in 8:36.26.
Anthony Gargani finished third in 8:39.26,
Ian Romea placed fourth in 8:44.04, and
Andrea Botteon crossed the line in 8:51.79.
Saint Joseph's dominated the 4x400m relay, with the team of
Logan Maloney,
Luke Noss,
Darren Cammauf, and
Benjamin Henry winning in 3:11.38. The team of
Chris Manzo,
Elijah Smith,
Regent Walden, and
Alex Wockenfuss finished third in 3:14.54, and the team of James Mackey,
Layton Holt,
Eli Turner, and
Brody Wyatt placed fifth in 3:23.82.
FIELD EVENTS
Logan Henry led the Hawks in the long jump, finishing fourth with a leap of 6.70 meters.
Cameron Campbell-Miller followed in fifth with a mark of 6.61 meters.
UP NEXT
St. Joe's heads to Virginia Beach, Virginia, next weekend for the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships. The two-day meet begins on Friday, February 27.
