OPENING TIP
The Hawks enter Saturday's contest riding a three-game win streak following a 61-46 victory over Duquesne on Wednesday evening.

Gabby Casey led all scorers with 19 points in the win, finishing one rebound shy of a double-double, while Faith Stinson added 13 points and nine rebounds.

Saint Joseph's secured its sixth three-game win streak of the season — and second during Atlantic 10 play — improving to 18-8 overall and 9-6 in conference action. The victory also guaranteed the Hawks at least a .500 conference record for the fourth consecutive year and the 19th time in Cindy Griffin's 25 seasons.

Casey is one of five players nationally averaging at least 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 35 percent from three, joining Maggie Doogan (Richmond), Olivia Miles (TCU), Sarah Strong (UConn) and Kiki Rice (UCLA).

The Hawks continue to rank among the nation's leaders in ball movement, sitting second nationally in assist rate (71.1%), trailing only Northwestern (71.5%). Saint Joseph's is one of just four programs nationally above the 70 percent mark.

Saint Joseph's has also excelled when playing from ahead, posting a 14-0 record when leading at halftime and a 17-0 mark when holding a lead with five minutes remaining.

SHARING IS CARING
Through 26 games, the Hawks have assisted on 448 of their 630 made field goals, maintaining one of the nation's top assist rates at 71.1 percent. Only four teams nationwide sit above the 70 percent threshold.

Ball movement and decision-making have been hallmarks of the program in recent years. Saint Joseph's has ranked in the national top 30 in assist-to-turnover ratio twice over the past three seasons and continues to sit among the Atlantic 10's leaders.

This season, the Hawks rank near the top 30 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.22) and lead the Atlantic 10 in assists per game (17.2).

CASEY STEPPING UP
Gabby Casey has been a do-it-all presence in 2025-26, leading the team in points, rebounds and steals per game. She has scored in double figures in 22 of 25 appearances, recorded at least five rebounds in 21 contests and tallied three or more steals eight times.

Casey has led Saint Joseph's in rebounding 14 times, scoring 13 times, steals 11 times and assists 10 times this season. She also paces the team with six games featuring a team-best plus/minus.

Through 25 games, Casey has already surpassed her previous single-season bests in points, rebounds, assists and steals.

SNEAD IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Aleah Snead is 26-8 all-time when inserted into the starting lineup for the Hawks, with 18 of those victories coming by double digits.

Snead's 16-point, 12-rebound, six-assist performance against Loyola Chicago marked the third double-double of her career.

She made her first collegiate start against the Ramblers as a freshman and now averages 12.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists across three career games versus Loyola Chicago.

LET IT FLY
The Hawks are coming off a program-record 231 three-pointers made in 2024-25. Saint Joseph's is 18 three-pointers shy of reaching 200 makes this season, which would mark the third consecutive year — and fourth time in program history — eclipsing that milestone.

ABOUT ST. JOE'S
Saint Joseph's is competing in its 53rd season of women's basketball and the 25th under head coach Cindy Griffin. The Hawks are 28 wins shy of reaching 1,000 victories in program history.

Griffin recently surpassed Stephanie Gaitley for sole possession of second place on the Atlantic 10's all-time wins list with 224 career conference victories. Joe McKeown leads the league with 240 wins.

SERIES HISTORY
Saint Joseph's holds a 13-11 all-time advantage against Saint Louis entering the 25th meeting. The Hawks have won just once in Saint Louis since the 2016-17 season, though the most recent matchup snapped a three-game losing skid. Saint Joseph's captured eight of the first nine meetings and has won three of the last four overall.
