OPENING TIP
The Hawks enter Wednesday's matchup riding a four-game winning streak — their longest of conference play — after a 65–54 road victory over Saint Louis.

Aleah Snead paced Saint Joseph's with 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds in the win, while Gabby Casey added 16 points. Kaylinn Bethea matched her career high with nine points to lead the bench.

Casey remains one of six players nationally averaging at least 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 45% from the field and 35% from three, joining Maggie Doogan (Richmond), Olivia Miles (TCU), Sarah Strong (UConn) Kiki Rice (UCLA) and Taylee Chirrick (Montana State).

Saint Joseph's continues to rank among the nation's leaders in ball movement, sitting second nationally in assist rate (71.1%). The Hawks are also unbeaten when playing with a late lead, posting a 15-0 record when leading at halftime and 18-0 when leading with five minutes remaining.

SHARING IS CARING
Through 27 games, the Hawks have assisted on 466 of 655 made field goals, maintaining one of the nation's top assist rates (71.1%). Only four programs nationally sit above the 70% mark.

Ball movement has been a staple of the program, with Saint Joseph's ranking top 30 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio twice over the past three seasons. This year, the Hawks remain top 30 (1.21) while leading the Atlantic 10 in assists per game (17.3).

RHIAN'S IN CHARGE
After making just four starts as a freshman, Rhian Stokes has taken over primary playmaking duties. The sophomore ranks sixth in the conference with 3.4 assists per game and is approaching 100 assists this season.

Stokes also leads the Hawks in three-point percentage (42.3%) and free-throw percentage (80.9%), finishing last week with nine assists to just one turnover while adding 12 points and three steals.

CASEY STEPPING UP
Gabby Casey has been a do-it-all presence for the Hawks in 2025-26, leading the team in points, rebounds and steals per game. She has scored in double figures in 23 of her 26 appearances, recorded at least five rebounds in 21 games, and tallied three or more steals nine times.

Casey has led Saint Joseph's in rebounding 14 times, scoring 13 times, steals 12 times and assists 10 times. She also paces the team with six games featuring a team-best plus/minus.

Casey has already surpassed her previous single-season bests in points, rebounds, assists and steals.

SNEAD IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Aleah Snead is 27-8 all-time when inserted into the starting lineup for the Hawks, with 19 of those victories coming by double digits.

Snead recorded her third double-double of her career with 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists against Loyola Chicago. Headed back to the Midwest, Snead led the Hawks in scoring (18), rebounding (5) and assists (7) against Saint Louis.

LET IT FLY
The Hawks are coming off a program-record 231 three-pointers made in 2024-25. Saint Joseph's is 11 three-pointers shy of reaching 200 makes this season, which would mark the third consecutive year — and fourth time in program history — eclipsing that milestone.

ABOUT ST. JOE'S
Saint Joseph's is competing in its 53rd season of women's basketball and the 25th under head coach Cindy Griffin. The Hawks are 27 wins shy of reaching 1,000 victories in program history.

Griffin recently moved into second place on the Atlantic 10 all-time conference wins list with 225, trailing only Joe McKeown (240).

SERIES HISTORY
Saint Joseph's holds a 13-8 all-time edge against George Mason despite a seven-point loss in the first meeting this season. The Hawks have captured the last two matchups played in Fairfax.
