OPENING TIP
The Hawks are coming off an eight-point setback to league-leading Rhode Island on Wednesday, which snapped a three-game conference winning streak.
Aleah Snead set a new career high in the loss, pouring in a game-high 24 points.
Gabby Casey added 17 points as the duo combined for 41 of Saint Joseph's 61 points, with each player also pulling down nine rebounds.
Saint Joseph's ranks third nationally in assist rate, assisting on 71.5 percent of its made field goals. Only four teams nationwide eclipse the 70 percent mark, with the Hawks narrowly trailing Northwestern (72.1%) and Drake (71.7%).
Gabby Casey has earned back-to-back Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors. Over the past four games, the junior guard has averaged 19.8 points per game while shooting 60.4 percent from the field and 55.0 percent from three-point range, adding 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.
Casey ranks third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (16.1 ppg), fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.26), sixth in rebounding (7.0 rpg) and seventh in assists (3.2 apg).
The Hawks are 11-0 this season when leading at halftime and 14-0 when holding a lead with five minutes remaining.

Through 22 games, Saint Joseph's has assisted on 381 of its 533 made field goals, maintaining one of the nation's top assist rates at 71.5 percent. Only four teams nationally sit above the 70 percent threshold.
Ball movement and decision-making have been staples of the Hawk offense over the past three seasons. Saint Joseph's has ranked in the national top 30 in assist-to-turnover ratio twice during that span and has consistently remained among the Atlantic 10's leaders.
This season, the Hawks rank near the top 30 nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.19) and lead the Atlantic 10 in assists per game (17.3).
CASEY STEPPING UP
Gabby Casey has done it all for the Hawks in 2025–26, leading the team in points, rebounds and steals per game. She has scored in double figures in 19 of her 21 appearances, grabbed at least five rebounds in 18 games and recorded three or more steals on eight occasions.
Casey has led Saint Joseph's in scoring and rebounding 12 times, steals 10 times and assists nine times. She also leads the Hawks with five games posting a team-best plus/minus.
Through 21 games, Casey sits just three rebounds and eight assists shy of matching her career highs set during the 2024–25 season—marks achieved over 34 games. She has already surpassed her previous single-season bests in points and steals.
