Henry’s School Record Headlines Strong Day One for Saint Joseph’s

FAIRFAX, Va. - The Saint Joseph's men's track and field team saw a strong Day 1 showing, highlighted by four qualifiers for tomorrow's finals and personal-best performances on the opening day of the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships.

TRACK RESULTS:
  • Benjamin Henry delivered a standout run of 21.04 in the 200m to claim the top overall time, setting a new school record and personal best while securing his place in the final. Paride Iacono added a solid showing with a time of 21.77 to finish 14th, while Jerael Moore notched a personal-best 21.80 to place 15th, rounding out a strong effort from the Hawks' sprint group.
  • In the 1500m prelims, the Hawks showcased depth with four runners in action. Matt Hoffman led the group, finishing 17th in 3:53.95. Jackson Kane followed closely in 20th with a time of 3:54.27, while Joey Lanci recorded a personal-best 3:54.53 to place 22nd. Will Rau rounded out the event for Saint Joseph's, crossing in 3:56.33.
  • The Hawks found success in the 400m prelims, placing two athletes into the final. Benjamin Henry continued his strong season, running 47.15 to finish fourth overall and secure an automatic qualifying spot. Logan Maloney joined him in advancing, placing sixth with a time of 47.98. Eli Turner added a personal-best performance of 49.28 to finish 15th, while Layton Holt clocked in at 49.76.
  • In the 100m prelims, Logan Henry led the Hawks with a 12th-place finish in 10.90. Jerael Moore followed in 14th, crossing the line in 10.96, while Paride Iacono equaled his personal best with a time of 11.02 to place 16th overall.
  • Cristian Cruz highlighted the 800m prelims with a standout performance, running a personal-best 1:51.54 to finish fourth overall and advance to the final. Chris Manzo narrowly missed qualifying, placing 10th in 1:52.56, while Regent Walden finished 21st with a time of 1:54.58.
  • In the 400m hurdles, Brody Wyatt delivered a strong effort, recording a personal-best 55.10 to finish eighth overall and punch his ticket to the final.
  • In the 3000m steeplechase final, Ryan Cichocki represented the Hawks with a strong effort, finishing 10th overall in a time of 9:23.46.
  • In the 10,000m final, the Hawks placed three runners in the field, led by Gavin Mogck's eighth-place finish in 32:07.20. Jay Shanahan followed in 16th with a time of 32:32.57, while Andrea Botteon crossed just behind in 17th, clocking 32:41.66.
