PHILADELPHIA (05/05/03) - Sophomore Alicia Cunic was named the final Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week, taking the honor for the week ending May 4. Cunic posted a .897 slugging percentage last week in helping Saint Joseph's record a 3-3 record. The Hawk catcher collected eight RBI, seven hits (including four doubles, two home runs) and drove in four runs on the week. She also smacked a two-run, game-winning homer in a 3-0 win over defending Ivy League champion Princeton on May 4. For the year, she leads the Hawks and ranks among Atlantic 10 leaders in doubles with 12 (second in A-10), slugging percentage (.605/third), home runs (6/fourth) and total bases (69/fourth).
