PHILADLELPHIA (2/8/04) - Saint Joseph's guard Delonte West has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week for February 8, sharing the award with Keith Waleskowski of Dayton. It is West's third A10 honor this season.

West helped the #3 Hawks remain unbeaten this week, averaging 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. He went 14-for-28 (.500) from the field and 13-13 from the line for the week.

West became the newest member of Saint Joseph's 1,000-point club, and the 42nd in history, when he scored his 11th point in the first half of the win over La Salle. The junior finished the game with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

West joins with Jameer Nelson to give the Hawks the best backcourt in the country, and now a 1,000-point plus backcourt.

The 20-0 Hawks host Dayton on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the soldout Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Game time is 7 p.m. with the telecast on CN8.
