STATE COLLEGE , PA (01/12/02) - The Saint Joseph's University women's track team competed at the U.S.T.C.A. series at Penn State on Saturday, January 12. Senior Denise Fergus led the way for the Hawks, placing fourth in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:25.3. Seniors Mary Korfmacher and Brooke Gilliford also fared well for the Hawks placing 4th in the 400meter and eigth in the 200 meter respectively. Other highlights for the Hawks included a fifth place finish for sophomore Sarah Click in the high jump (5'2 1/4") and an eigth place finish for sophomore Karen Weber in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:46.0. The Hawks will travel to New York on Saturday, January 19, when they will compete as the Fordham Invitational.
