RICHMOND, VA (05/04/02) - Junior Maisha Tyler continued her dominance in the long jump at the Atlantic 10 Championshps, winning her fourth straight title to help SJU to a seventh place finish after the first day of competition at Sports Backers Stadium. Tyler, who jumped a stellar 18-feet, 10-inches for her winning leap, also won the long jump at the 2001 A-10 Outdoor Championships as well as both the 2001 and 2002 Indoor Championships. Also scoring for Saint Joseph's were sophomores Amy Manwaring (38:36.66) and Karen Weber (39:32.55),who placed fifth and eighth, respectively at the 10,000-meter run. The 2002 A-10 Outdoor Track and Field Championships will conclude tomorrow.
