PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior forward Lauren Luft was named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week of October 30-November 5, conference officials announced Monday.

Luft earns her first Player of the Week award of this season after notching the golden goal in a 2-1 overtime win over Temple on October 28th. The win lifted Saint Joseph's to the second seed in the A-10 Championship, finishing 10-9 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

The goal was Luft's ninth of the season and 31st of her career, ranking her fourth all-time at SJU in career goals. Luft also finishes the season with eight assists and 26 points. She has had two game-winning goals this season and started all 19 games.

The Hawks return to action Friday in the second game of the semifinal round of the Atlantic 10 Championships. Game time is set for 2:00pm as they face-off against Rhode Island.
